The fifteenth-century Camminamento di Ronda makes the Sanctuary of Loreto one of the very rare examples of a Basilica-Fortress in Italy.

Visitors, climbing a spiral staircase with about 120 steps, will be able to observe a fascinating architectural structure, which opens interesting glimpses of the physiognomy of the Basilica and the city of Loreto.
You can also admire a breathtaking panorama that ranges, to the east, from the Riviera del Conero to the Adriatic coast, to the west from the hills to the Gran Sasso d'Italia up to the Sibillini Mountains.
