The Pontifical Museum of the Holy House of Loreto covers an area of 2000 square meters, for a total of 30 exhibition rooms. The furniture of the 16th and 17th centuries, which adorn the rooms of the first floor, was in the past the original furniture used by the Palace.
It is located on the upper floors of the western wing of the Apostolic Palace, which is articulated to the left and opposite the Basilica, in Piazza della Madonna, It is characterized by an imposing porch and a loggia above in white stone of Istria, of order doric on the ground floor and ionic on the upper floor.

Works of great artistic value are preserved, including: Seven paintings by Lorenzo Lotto, a prestigious collection of Renaissance ceramics, nine Raffaelleschi tapestries, paintings by Pellegrino Tibaldi, Simon Vouet, Cesare Maccari.

The large Lotti altarpiece with "San Cristoforo, Bambino, San Rocco e San Sebastiano" is placed inside the Basilica.
