A Voyage Through Tradition and All Five Senses

At the Garofoli Winery you can experience over a century of the family’s history and the tradition of winemaking in the Marche region.This is a story of men and women who have been producing wine for five generations with love, passion and dedication to their land and origins.

Follow a path that winds through the Garofoli family’s memories, telling the story of the oldest winery in the Marche region, and culminating in an exciting discovery of the senses with a wine tasting.

• CLASSIC TOUR (Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes)

Immerse yourself in the Garofoli experience and find out more about the history of the family and its winery. The Classic Tour takes you on a visit to the barrel cellar and a picturesque walk through the wooden pupitres. After, there is the guided tasting of Garofoli wines (which vary based on the package chosen). The tasting features some typical products and a sampling of Garofoli Blend EVO oil and Garofoli EVO oil of the single variety made from Ascolana Tenera (according to availability), which come from our own olive groves.

• “Linfa” Collection € 20 - ”Linfa” means of freshness, simplicity and vital energy. This tour is thought for those who are curious to taste the younger and more lively Garofoli wines, capable of coloring everyday life with unmistakable flavors and fragrances. Tasting of:

  • Serra del Conte – Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico
  • Farnio – Rosso Piceno DOC
  • Guasco – Rosso Conero DOC
• “Discover the Marche Region” € 25 - The Cru Collection is born by the length of five generations, and tells the unmistakeable imprint that makes Garofoli wines and the territory that hosts them, Le Marche, unique.This is a tour for those who are getting to know our wines for the first time. Tasting of:
  • Macrina – Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Superiore
  • Aelya – Verdicchio di Matelica DOC
  • Kòmaros – Conero DOCG Rosato
  • Piancarda – Rosso Conero DOC

• “The Best of…” € 30 - An exciting tour for experts and wine-lovers who want to learn more about the excellent wines that have marked the history of Casa Vinicola Garofoli. A journey which starts from the hills of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi area and goes to the Adriatic coast, where we find Montepulciano vineyards. Tasting of:
  • Podium - Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Superiore
  • Serra Fiorese - Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Riserva DOCG Classico
  • K-Volve – Marche IGT Rosato
  • Grosso Agontano – Conero DOCG Riserva

• “Bring on the Bubbly” € 30 - (groups of 4 people minimum) – A voyage of discovery through the long tradition of sparkling wines produced by the Garofoli family, which has been making spumante wines since 1952. Discover the many nuances of Verdicchio and Montepulciano which emerge thanks to maturation on lees, as well as time and savoir fair. This is a trip through Charmat method and Metodo Classico. Sparkling wine tasting of:
  • Brut – Spumante Metodo Charmat
  • Brut Rosè – Spumante Metodo Classico
  • Brut Riserva – Spumante Metodo Classico
  • Pas Dosè – Spumante Metodo Classico

• Blind Tasting € 25 - A game, just for fun, to awaken those sleepy senses. Four wines in a blind tasting that calls into play the senses of smell and taste trying to recognize aromas and bouquets.

• PRIVATE TOUR

An exclusive and personalized experience, designed for those who wish to enjoy the winery in a private and tailored way. The private tour starts at €90 per person and includes a tasting of 4 selected wines.
The price may vary depending on the choice of wines, with the possibility of including Vintage Collection, Limited Edition, and G. Garofoli Selections.

For experts, amateurs and wine-lovers who want to get to know one of our wines in-depth. Contact us and tell us which wine you are most interested in and that you’d like to get to know better

• SPECIAL EXPERIENCE FOR CHILDREN

If you are with children, please inform us so we can better organize your visit. Free entry for children and teenagers under 18.

However, if you would like to offer them a more complete experience, you can choose from the following options:

• Tour “Young Sommelier” € 15 - An experience created to dive children into tasting through two fruit juices. A tailor-made sheet will guide them in this funny game taking part as a little sommelier. They will design their own label and put it on a 0,375 bottle chosen between Verdicchio Doc o Rosso Conero Doc.

Traditional products from a local bakery will be offered.

• APERITIVO AT THE WINERY

Aperitivo at Garofoli winery is wating for you from Monday to Saturday. Under the porch during summertime and in the tasting room in winter. Ask for your favorite wine, we will bring you 4 fresh bottles so you can enjoy your glass in a relaxed atmosphere.

If you wish to match something together with the wine you have chosen, you can select the products you prefer in our wineshop, “it’s like going shopping”.

• In case of delay (more than 30 minutes late and without prior notification by phone or by e-mail), the reservation shall be canceled.

• In order to offer our guests the best experience, we ask that you follow these simple rules:

Pets: Your four-legged friends are welcome, but may not accompany you during the tour in the winery.

Appropriate dress: Temperatures in the cellar range from 13 to 15° Centigrade all year long, so we ask you to dress appropriately for that temperature

• Every visit with a wine tasting includes a sampling of traditional local products. Please indicate dietary restrictions or allergies at the time of making the reservation.

• Visits are conducted in Italian and English. If you would like a visit in your language, please contact us ahead of time; we will provide a translator. The additional cost will be added to the cost of your tour.

• There is a parking lot for buses.

• The winery is accessible for people with disabilities.
