Corto Maltese and Ulysses land in Recanati in a unique and unrepeatable exhibition entirely dedicated to the artistic genius of the great cartoonist Hugo Pratt, hosted in the prestigious halls of the Civic Museum of Villa Colloredo Mels next to the Recanati masterpieces of Lorenzo Lotto and the memorabilia of Giacomo Leopardi. On this occasion, more than 60 original plates, films and reproductions can be admired, arranged in a path that winds its way through the literary references that inspired Pratt's works.
It starts with the 26 complete plates of the Odyssey, created in 1963 for "Il Corriere dei piccoli": Ulysses, in fact, was the first sailor drawn by Hugo Pratt, who would define the Odyssey as "a kaleidoscope of all the situations of the adventure novel".
"Da Ulisse a Corto Maltese, viaggio nell'immaginario di Hugo Pratt" (From Ulysses to Corto Maltese, a journey through Hugo Pratt's imagination), this is the name of the exhibition, was born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Recanati, Associazione Arcadia, Sistema Museo and Cong Sa, which made the initiative possible.
