Palazzo Soprani in Castelfidardo
One of the largest and most representative private buildings; originally the home to and exhibition site of the Soprani family.
Built in the early decades of the twentieth century at the behest of the founder of the accordion industry, it was until the eighties in part used as a dwelling of the Soprani family and partly to offices and exhibition of the factory. Currently the building is undergoing renovation.
Paolo Soprani
(1844-1918), is the founder of the Italian accordion industry. He began to manufacture them, opening in 1863 the first artisan workshop for the production of the "organetto", bringing the industrial processing system. For many years he was mayor of Castelfidardo.
