Portonovo is also known as the “baia verde” (green bay) thanks to its location surrounded by the green of the Conero Regional Park and away from busy roads. Along the Portonovo beach there are many restaurants where you can taste a variety of fresh fish dishes such as local mussels, called “moscioli”.
