Sanctuary of Tornazzano in Filottrano
A fourteenth-century sanctuary in the hills and the Conero campaigns
Among the countrysides of the Conero, in a small borough of Filottrano rises the Sanctuary of Tornazzano. Built in fourteenth century in a typical gothic style and then rearranged in nineteenth century by architect Costantino Costantini.
Inside, is preserved a valuable fresco of fourteenth century depicting the Virgin and Child.
Still inside the church, is preserved a roman stone, on which sat St. Rocco, and considered miraculous, for treatment of osteoarthritis and arthritis.
