The Memorial Ossuary - Castelfidardo
Designed by engineer Antonio Bianchi and built in the years 1861-1870 on the hill of Mirano on the southern edge of the Castelfidardo forest, the site where the battle took place.
Its square form represents paradise, where the fallen of the two opposing armies enter from the two entrances, the truncated pyramids are the lives ended by the battle, while the central column is the sign of divine piety over the contending sides.
